The Provincial Garden Party 2010

Held biannually in June this raises money for The Grand Masters Charity

and disburses money at the discretion of the Provincial Grand Master.

This years event at Godmersham Park near Ashford proved to be a very hot one

with lots of Masons and their families in attendance.

This year the Lodges Stall was a Frog Target Game called "Frog in the Bog"

Consisting of a trigger launce mechanism and a loo seat target.

Small frogs were propelled through the air  to land in the net under the loo seat.

3 frogs in a row were needed to allow a contestant to continue and propel more frogs until they missed.

Their score was then added up and the highest consecutive score of the day won a prize.

Four people got the same score so their names were put into a hat to decide on an overall winner.

There were several notable contestants to try their skill on our stall at frog flipping, including:

Mrs Sandra Bailey, wife of the Provincial Grand Master, W.Bro Michael Robin Bailey,

who gave useful advice from a safe distance.

W.Bro Roger Odd, Deputy Provincial Grand Master

W. Bro Brian Stanley Powell, Assistant Provincial Grand Master.

W. Bro Brian Stanley Powell, Suitable attired for "hand to hand" frog combat.

A great day was had by all using sand filled toy frogs.  therefore no frogs were harmed during the course of the day.

Thanks must go to Bro Martin Jones and W.Bro Peter Smith who set up and manned the stall and to their wives and families who came and supported the lodge.     Also thanks to Bro. Martin & Wendy Smith for taking the Photographs.
